What Is Covered Under the Lifetime Warranty? ​ 

Engine components:
  • Cylinder block and cylinder head(s), all internal lubricated parts including pistons, piston rings, wrist pins, connection rods, rod and main bearings, crankshaft, camshaft(s) and bearings, followers, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, rocker shafts and bushings, balance shafts, valves, valve seats, valve guides, valve springs and retainers, oil pump, oil pump pick up, oil pump drive, water pump.

Transmission/Transfer Case Components:
  • Automatic Transmission—Transmission case and all internal lubricated parts including oil pump, valve body, torque converter, governor, clutches, bushings, shafts, gear sets, bearings, vacuum modulator, dip stick, tube.
  • Manual Transmission—Transmission case and all internal lubricated parts including shafts, bushings, bearing, gear sets, synchronizers, shift forks.

Drive Axle:
  • FWD—Drive axle housing and all internal lubricated components including joints, double offset joints (except if boot was damaged or missing).
  • RWD—Drive axle case and all internal lubricated parts including carrier, ring and pinion gears, gear sets, bearings, bushings, limited slip clutch pack, axle shafts, drive shaft(s), drive shaft support, u-joints.
  • AWD/4WD – All components listed under FWD and RWD are covered.

Seals & Gaskets:
  • Seals and Gaskets coverage included for the Powertrain components listed above.

What Is Not Covered Under The Lifetime Warranty?​

  • The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and Mitsubishi i-MiEV are not covered by the Lifetime Warranty
  • Vehicles used for businesses, governmental or commercial purposes do not qualify
  • Vehicles equipped or modified for racing, speed contests, and towing other vehicles do not qualify (exceptions being a vehicle purchased with a towing package)
  • Vehicles with modifications to any of the covered components including the engine, transmission, powertrain and more.
  • Vehicles with repairs that are the result of other repairs done outside the confines of the maintenance requirements** outlined above.​ 
  • Vehicles with damage due to water, rust, improper maintenance, improperly proportioned fluids, coolants, other car solutions, or other contaminants that are not part of standard car maintenance.​ 
  • Vehicles involved in incidents that are typically covered by a car insurance policy
  • Vehicles with damage due to the owner’s failure to correct an existing problem/taking precaution when damage occurs to keep damage from becoming worse.​ 
  • Vehicles under the warranty that are transferred to subsequent owners will lose the Lifetime Warranty offered by Don Robinson Mitsubishi

WHICH VEHICLES QUALIFY FOR THE LIFETIME WARRANTY?

The Lifetime Warranty applies to All New Mitsubishi vehicles except for the Mitsubishi EVO Lancer and Mitsubishi i-MiEV.  

WHEN DOES THE LIFETIME WARRANTY BEGIN?

The Lifetime Warranty begins from the date you purchase the vehicle and the mileage is taken from the odometer at the time of the sale.

HOW MUCH DOES THE LIFETIME WARRANTY COST?

This warranty is included at no extra cost and comes standard with the purchase of each new Mitsubishi vehicle*.  

WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO BRING MY VEHICLE TO DON ROBINSON MITSUBISHI?

If you bring your vehicle to Don Robinson Mitsubishi, you will be provided with the best care possible and we will be the best place to keep records on all your service related needs. Our Certified Technicians understand exactly how our Lifetime Warranty works, and know what needs to be done to maintain your Lifetime Warranty. However, if you need to take your vehicle elsewhere, this will not cancel your warranty. Be sure to keep good records of all services and follow the maintenance requirements outlined below**.  

CAN I PURCHASE THIS LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR VEHICLES NOT ALREADY COVERED?

No, unfortunately this warranty only applies to qualifying new Mitsubishi vehicles at the time of the sale.  

What Am I Responsible For?

Deductible:
  • A $100 per visit deductible will apply for this program.
Maintenance Requirements**:
  • You are responsible for all scheduled maintenance services recommended by Mitsubishi’s Owner’s Manual for the specified vehicle. For service above and beyond the recommended service schedule, you are responsible for remedying problems in a way that does not result in further damage to your vehicle. In addition to this, you must keep copies of all completed repairs performed during the coverage period. See dealer with questions or for more details*  

What Else Should I Know?

To help answer other questions you may have, here are a few other details about this program you should know.
 
Towing:
  • Towing coverage is available for your vehicle if your car breaks down as a result of a covered component. Reimbursement will be provided for up to $80 per towing incidence. *
Eligibility:
  • Program eligibility is for current models plus 1 model year old vehicles with 12,000 miles or less on the odometer at the time of sale. Certain vehicles may not qualify*
